fields of play

This study of rural inhabitation took place in Somerset, England.  The program was to design one, using any means of systematic play to help drive necessity and influence choice.

Given the the size of the land and England's penchant for football, the program selected was a training facility for players, which offered a variety of amenity's including two regulation size pitches for play.

The dwelling unit / pied a terre was designed as simply as possible as a series of program pieces which were then chamferred to allow the aggregation to negotiate the tortuous site perimeter.
