400forJeff was conceived as an event to support a friend's (Jeff) treatment and victory over his ailment, both morally and financially.
It was hosted by the GaREAT sports facility in Geneva, OH, a world-class track, football, soccer, volleyball, and now swimming facility of gargantuan proportions.
As Jeff was a state champion in the 400m dash, the event consisted of laps around the track, for which individuals donated either on a per lap basis, or by a flat donation.
The event was a huge success and Jeff is now back to teaching full-time.
